Easeus Partition Master

A plucky little piece of freeware that packs a subtle punch, Easeus Partition Manager partitions hard drives like a reigning champ. Loaded with features, EPM runs smoothly and lacks only a glitzy interface.

Fantastic bit of kit this, just had to use it myself and it's simple, fast and does the job [Y]
what is this for?

It's mainly for if you need to run more than one operating system at once or if you have issues with your hard drive not being in the correct file format after uninstalling from a dual boot setup.

Basically I split my HDD in two and installed Ubuntu alongside Vista but the installation failed for some unknown reason, but by then it had created a partition for the Ubuntu install. Then I went to reinstall XP over the top of it but it only recognised the half of the HDD where Vista had been so I used this program to find and format the otehr half.

Microsoft Security Essentials

Another free antivirus suite that does a pretty good job.
I've still got 80 or so days left of my Norton 360 sub left but is it worth switching to this now?
I take it that it will work fine on it's own and I won't need anything else downloaded, though I already have Malwarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware on my system.

Yes it will work fine on it's own, and it won't slow your PC down like that wanky Norton will.

OK thanks. Downloading it now then. :)

Norton won't let me defrag my computer at the moment it's taken that job over for itself it seems and won't do anything until it gets to 10% fragmented. The computer is fragmented enough that I can see a difference in speed so I may as well use something else so I can take back defragging responsibilities for myself. :)

Edit: Oh and is it worth keeping SuperAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes on there as well or shall I remove them as well?

Removed Malwarebytes though as I never used it, SAS I use quite a bit though, definitely very handy as it detected quite a few things Norton didn't and actually removed them and so didn't keep detecting them like Norton does. [Y]

I'll probably download it again in a bit.

Didn't realise how much Norton slowed this laptop down, around 10-20 seconds to boot up and shutdown now. :)

That CC addon looks mighty handy, and I thought I'd posted DVDFlick already but must have forgotten it. I have used it though and it was as good as ConvertXtoDVD imo.
