Collectors Edition does look nice but ill be sticking with my cheap Shopto pre order i think. Cant wait for this to get released. Played the early Fallout games and they are amazing. With people working on New Vegas that worked on the originals, i have high hopes.

DLC for this coming out for this very quickly!

Quote:

Bethesda has struck a deal with Microsoft and will deliver Fallout: New Vegas' first DLC pack sometime this holiday season exclusively for the Xbox 360 version. Details about the pack's contents are being kept under wraps for now.

No mention is made in Bethesda's press release on whether the pack will be available for PS3 at a later date. Based on how Bethesda has struck similar deals in the past, it's fairly safe to assume the exclusive status has a window and the DLC will head Sony's way sometime next year.

Cant wait for the weekend when I get this!

Keeping my fingers crossed that the missus has got me this for my birthday (normal edition would do)! Doubt it though, were fucking skint at the moment.

Single player game = no rush to get it. It will still be the same game 3 months from now, whereas a game that has a strong online portion will be a diminished game in the same amount of time.

Sorry, I really do think that FNV will be an amazing piece of work, but I really cannot see how it will be any different of worse come February?

I completely agree. If I can put of buying it on Friday, which I really should do seeing as I am now overdraft, it will be the same in 6 months time, and hopefully (doubtful) the DLC will be cheaper as well.

I don't doubt this will be a fantastic game though.

Fallout New Vegas is NOT a continuation of the Fallout 3 story, just so you know :) so don't feel you have to play it to know wtf is going on
But yea Fallout3 is worth playing

Yeah I know it's completely different thanks Gash, just thought I'd get the cheaper one to see if I liked the gameplay. ;)
