I watched the Gadget Show the other day and they recommended this printer for the best photo prints out of the 5 printers they tested. I went to staples today to see if they had any in but i have to wait until monday...could get it cheaper from somewhere else but i dont like waiting for delivery plus the fact there is no one ever in at mine. The ink is so unbelievably cheap! For a black ink that prints over 500 pages costs £6.99 and for a colour that prints the same amount of pages costs £10.99! Can't wait to get this on Monday! |

Yeah, I saw that. Looks pretty good! Pretty cheap printer too. Is it Wi- Fi enabled? |

Yeah, I thought it was supposed to be around £60. That'd be why then. Let me know what you think of it. I might get it when my new room is finally built. |

I used to sell stuff like this and in my experience Kodak are quite good, but not the best. The main issue they suffer with is losing the calibration on the print heads, but they can also have problems with the nozzles getting blocked if they are not used for a couple of days. I hope that gadget show are really thorough with their testing if people are buying stuff based solely on their recommendations though. |

On the Gadget Show they were only comparing high quality prints on the different printers but I've read a lot of reviews on the printer and on average it scores around 8.5/10. I think i get like a years warranty so i'll see how it goes but the amount of money i will be saving on ink makes it worth it to me...i'm planning on printing all my photos on my computer (about 800+) so i'm going to put it through its paces :D |

As long as you're taking other reviews into account, I'm sure it'll be fine. [Y] I've got a cheap Epson printer which does a really good job with photos, but it does suffer from the nozzle blockage problem and every time I use it I have to do a clean first. Luckily I don't use it very much though so its not a massive issue. |

Yeah i had an old Epson stylus that was very cheap on ink if bought off ebay and lasted ages but it finally died so i thought it was time for an upgrade. |

Picked up this printer earlier and i am very impressed with it. It's very easy to set up and if you do get stuck there is a setup wizard to help you. Connects flawlessly to my router which is over the other side of the building. Prints beautifully on high glossy paper and only takes a matter of seconds (I'd say around 10 seconds) on highest quality. The copier works very well and has many settings to adjust different things like shrinkage and colour etc. Haven't tried the scanner yet because you have to have it plugged in to a pc to do that but i'll try that after on my partners netbook. The card reader also works very well, just pop the card in to printer and print straight away without the need of transferring them to the pc first. I would definitely recommend this printer! If i notice any problems over the next few months then i will be sure to let you know but at the moment i am very impressed with it. |

I could do with a new printer as it happens. My current one is really good and should be compatible with Linux but I can't get the bloody thing to work, so every time I want to print something I have to boot up Windoze which just leaves me feeling dirty. |

Had a quick search on google and this may be able to help you get that printer working on Linux. Only prints B&W by the looks of it though. Edited by o0o Wiggy o0o, Aug 16 2010, 10:02 PM.
